Death Panel Redux

“If at first you don’t succeed” goes the traditional phrase. Our president is a believer in that coloquialism. Democrats were hammered last year on death panels. Sarah Palin hammered zerO in 2009 on end of life bullying paid for by our tax dollars and is doing so again now.

One of the things I was afraid of most with zerO’s health care welfare scam was the socialistic structure and power given to the Secretary of Health and Human Services. What the legislation does not specifically mandate Kathleen Sebelius will through fiat.

While the new law does not mention advance care planning, the Obama administration has been able to achieve its policy goal through the regulation-writing process, a strategy that could become more prevalent in the next two years as the president deals with a strengthened Republican opposition in Congress.

Worse yet, these plug pullers are trying desperately to keep this secret:

Moreover, the e-mail said: “We would ask that you not broadcast this accomplishment out to any of your lists, even if they are ‘supporters’ — e-mails can too easily be forwarded.”

The e-mail continued: “Thus far, it seems that no press or blogs have discovered it, but we will be keeping a close watch and may be calling on you if we need a rapid, targeted response. The longer this goes unnoticed, the better our chances of keeping it.”

In the interview, Mr. Blumenauer said, “Lies can go viral if people use them for political purposes.”

They know the public will go wild again. Notice the timing of this as well … after the election but as far as possible from the next.

BASTARDS!

Well, a month or so after the democRATS passed the health care reform bill on their own (remember the only thing bipartisan about this bill was the vote against it) we find out in a report by the Medicare’s Office of the Actuary that:

In particular, concerns about Medicare could become a major political liability in the midterm elections. The report projected that Medicare cuts could drive about 15 percent of hospitals and other institutional providers into the red, “possibly jeopardizing access” to care for seniors.

Believe it or not this is being reported by the AP. It must be killing them, but don’t expect this to be discussed in the main stream media, they have moved on. Immigration, cap and trade … supreme court justice. No more time for a bill that will ruin our health care system within 10 years.

Think about the seniors … they are going to get walloped:

In addition to flagging provider cuts as potentially unsustainable, the report projected that reductions in payments to private Medicare Advantage plans would trigger an exodus from the popular alternative. Enrollment would plummet by about 50 percent. Seniors leaving the private plans would still have health insurance under traditional Medicare, but many might face higher out-of-pocket costs.

To access to health care will be diminished (folks may have insurance, but there will be less doctors and facilities) and costs will go up … two out of three strikes.

I still say it should be called obama-don’t-care.

At current graduation and training rates, the nation could face a shortage of as many as 150,000 doctors in the next 15 years, according to the Association of American Medical Colleges.

You know what that means? It means that you won’t be able to see your doctor … unless you are willing to wait, and wait, and wait. Rember this post?

Colorado Health Insurance Future Revealed

Unfortunately, it appears I was correct. Don’t worry though, we can fix this fast by educated more doctors right? Uh … not so much says the Wall Street Journal:

“It will probably take 10 years to even make a dent into the number of doctors that we need out there,” said Atul Grover, the AAMC’s chief advocacy officer.

Well, how about bringing in more doctors from abroad? Quick fix, right?

While doctors trained in other countries could theoretically help the primary-care shortage, they hit the same bottleneck with resident slots, because they must still complete a U.S. residency in order to get a license to practice medicine independently in the U.S.

Thanks a lot obama, Pelosi and Reid.

Why are these stupid politicians so wishy washy? They drive me friggin bananas (not a long trip these days). Don’t get me wrong, I realize there are strong politicians out there who are working hard to repeal this and lead others in that direction, but we have an old guard of folks in office that aren’t as conservative as we need them to be.

These folks need to be identified, lobbied to change their tune and replaced if they don’t.

Jim DeMint is doing just that. He is looking to change the face of the Republicans in the Senate. By backing folks like Marco Rubio in the Florida senate race he wants like minded conservatives. He is not willing to settle for obama hugging Charlie Crist and neither should we.

Transparency is a term that is bandied about constantly these days. It came from folks wanting the government process to be less secretive about their machinations. That’s a noble goal.

The link above however shows our government here in CO working to flip transparency 180 degrees. They, as a state government will have total transparency on every single health transaction in the state … period. If you go to the doctor for a hang nail, they will find out. If you go to the doctor for an STD, they will know. If you are pregnant, they will know.

Think about why they need to know. If you follow their logic, which admittedly they are transparent about, its so they can control you. They cannot have a single payer health care system without the information required to plan for it and this is how they get that information.
